Big Sur

We hiked in Los Padres National Forest and found free camping on the south side. There's no cell service and food is pretty expensive. Apparently, camping costs $50! I can only attest to $6.50 giant calzones and .50 cent bananas.

It's about 4.5 hours from L.A. We stopped in Morro Beach, which is beautiful and with a high population of hippies. I thought about getting an "Angel reading" but got pizza instead.

We also stopped to view the elephant seals, which total a few hundred, at least. They make disgusting hilarious noises and reminded me of overweights chickens.

I met a guy named Ryan, who camps and works as the groundskeeper for the school in Big Sur (only 21 kids K-12!).

I felt so in love with Big Sur. I gave him my card and number and told him to call if he hears of any jobs or living situations. It's pretty difficult to get into Big Sur. He was waiting on a house-sitting gig to open up.

Wil skated, I got sunburned and jumped in the ocean. The hike was incredible and the hot springs were juuuuust the right temperature.

SUCCESS.
